"Four Deck Cage, Old Original Mine, Butte, Mont."

The reverse of the card on the top right of the Old Original Mine reads "Four Deck Cage, Old Original Mine, Butte, Mont. The men stand in these cages one above another and are taken up and down the perpendicular shaft to and from work. Some of the mines go to a depth of over 2000 ft." Also, "Published by Boughton-Robbins Co., Spokane, Wash. Made in U. S. A."

The collector of the card wrote on the back 'all the mines look natural'
"Anaconda and St. Lawrence Mines, Butte, Mont."
The reverse says 'Williamson Haffner Co. Publishers' The postmark reads 1909.
"Richest Hill in the World, showing Anaconda and Never Sweat Mines, Butte Mont. (Section No. 3.)"
The reverse of the card on the right of the Leonard Mine says "Visitors to Butte desiring to see the inside of a mine are taken down this shaft." and "Published by J. L. Robbins Co., Spokane, Wash." Note that you can see the heads of the men on the lift.
No date, never sent. This appears more modern because of the men's uniform dress.
